Torres Strait Air is a local family owned & operated air charter company

Torres Strait Air was co-founded in 2013 by Daniel Takai the first Torres Strait Islander Commercial Pilot

Serving the vital air transport needs of the Torres Strait community with a well-resourced and experienced team of air charter professionals, we have a team of 20+ full time staff members, that operate from both across the Torres Strait & Cairns. Four of our team members are Torres Strait Islanders.

Torres Strait Air have established standards of service and safety for flying in the Torres Strait thanks to our current fleet of 13 aircraft and our highly skilled maintenance support teams on Horn Island, Mareeba, Cairns, and Bradfield (near Brisbane).

Operating throughout Torres Strait and the Northern Peninsular Area of Cape York Queensland with a fleet of aircraft consisting of the following:

2x Piston Twin Engine P2012 TECNAM Traveller
7x Piston Twin Engine Britten Norman Islander (BN2)
1x Piston Twin Engine AC500 Shrike Aero-commander
3x Piston Single Engine Cessna 206

You can expect to be given earplugs and bottled water on all flights, and you will arrive at your destination in accordance with your itinerary requirements.
