Flying a Jet and Turboprop aircraft with Major Airlines or advancing to a more senior and varied role in General Aviation based regional centres and Capital cities across Australia and around the world, can all start with a career at Torres Strait Air.

Our ideal recruit commences from our Cadet Pilot Program or with a minimum of 1000 hours total flight time, 100 hours multi-engine flight time, and with a significant portion of their experience gained in charter operations.

Familiarity with tropical wet season flying conditions in a VFR operation and/or IFR experience is also highly regarded.

Whatever your prior experience, there is a significant cost involved in getting your Torres Strait local knowledge and experience up to our required standards and so we do seek a minimum twelve-month employment term commitment from successful applicants.
